Read Through Viewing

FIG Artists Exhibition at the San Diego Public Library

The show that almost was in 2020, thanks to Covid 19. Curated by Bonnie Domingos, Library Arts & Culture Exhibitions Manager and our own Kathleen Mitchell. Twenty FIG artists participated, many submitting multiple pieces. As you’ll see in the installation shots below, we got to the brink of the opening, when the shutdown of public institutions was implemented. Bonnie, Kathleen and Kirsten agreed that a good alternative was to show the exhibit in our FIG newsletter. Bonnie is also open to presenting more FIG work when time and space allow.

The Walk

If you haven’t seen it, here’s a link to The Walk, the video that documents the sacred walk and artwork FIG members developed and installed at the Desert Dairy’s Labyrinth, by Linda Litteral. You’ll see and hear some of the artists involved read the descriptions of their work.
